Support & FAQs

Answers to common questions about Amazing Flash Cards on Android, iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

How do I sync my flash cards between devices?

On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, turn on iCloud sync in Settings on each device. Sync requires Premium, the same Apple ID for iCloud, an internet connection, and Flash Cards enabled in iCloud settings. iCloud sync is not available on Android; use an Amazing Flash Cards archive to move decks between platforms instead.

What file formats can I import?

You can import Amazing Flash Cards archive files and CSV files. CSV files should use UTF-8 text with the front of each card in column A and the back in column B. Use the app's import action or, on Apple devices, open a supported file in Flash Cards from another app's share menu.

What is the best way to export or back up decks?

Use the app's archive export when you want a backup or want to share decks with another Amazing Flash Cards user. Archives can include multiple decks, formatted text, media, scores, and bookmarks. CSV export is better for spreadsheet editing or moving one plain-text deck to another app.

How do study filters work?

Filters let you study a focused set of cards, such as cards with a low correct-answer rate, a correct or incorrect streak, cards last answered correctly or incorrectly, cards not answered today, cards never answered, or bookmarked cards. Use Filter from a deck, then choose Study filtered cards.

What does Premium include?

Premium is available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It unlocks features such as iCloud sync, folders, rich text formatting, audio, bookmarks, and higher AI limits on supported Apple devices. Android has no Premium tier; its available features and AI limits are built into the Android app.

How does nested organization work?

Place decks inside other decks to organize material by subject, class, chapter, or project. Removing a parent deck can also remove its descendants and cards that do not belong elsewhere, so export a backup first if you are unsure.
